The Special Wingsuit

We have been reading about a 42-year-old man who jumped out of a helicopter wearing only a wingsuit in England, and he year 2012.


There was a guy called Gary Connery who jumped out of a helicopter wearing a wingsuit and he landed safely on the ground. He wanted to have a record as the first person to jump from such a great height without using a parachute. The skydive took place at Henley-on-Thames, he landed in an area covered with 18,600 cardboard boxes.

The wingsuit designs increase surface area with fabric between and under the arms and legs. That helped to catch air and slow down the descent.The design of the wingsuit can be traced as back of a flying squirrel.The flying squirrel doesn't actually fly but it jumped from great height and lands safely, it glides by using loose folds of skins running down both sides of their bodies.

I watched a video about how Gary Connery jumped from a helicopter. It was amazing! It looked very scary but, it was very exhilarating to watch.

Art Alive

I have been learning famous artist's artwork. Herry Matisse, Vincent van Gogh, Daniella Holme, Oscar Monet. I like Vincent van Gogh’s artworks most, I like the Vincent Van Gogh's paintings about sunflowers because the sunflowers look realistic and I like all the magnifisent colours of that combine with the flowers.

Henri Matisse  was from France.  Henri liked drawing women and he drew many patterns.
Daniella Holme drew many pacific women and she liked to draw flowers and fruits. 
Oscar Monet was from France just like Henry Matisse and he drew many water lilies, women and flowers. Oscar Monet’s artworks are beautiful.

With My Grandparents

   On Sunday it was a rainy day. My grandparents and my family went to the beach in Tauranga. When we arrived to a motel in Tauranga we were hungry so we ate noddles.
After eating, we went to the beach and my grandparents and my dad went into the sea, but me and my mum and my brother and my sister were just watching and taking photos.
My dad caught five crabs at the first time. The crabs were big. They caught about thirty crabs and we took them back to the motel because it was raining. Then we ate some cooked crabs. It was yum.
There was nothing to play with so I just watched TV. The next day, we came back home.
It was a little bit boring because of the weather, it was raining but it was fun too because I went Tauranga with my grandparents.

This Weekend

This weekend I am going to my mum’s friend’s house. There is my friend and we will play fun things. I can’t wait for that day.  
 
On Sunday my family is going to Korean church. I’d like to go to church because I like to listen messages and I like to singing praises with my friends.
After that, we are going to the mall for buy some fruits and some clothes.

Breakfast-Which One Is For Me?

Did you eat breakfast? Cereal?Toast or rice? Breakfast is the most important meal for the day.

Sometimes I eat cereal for breakfast. Cereal is easy to make and it’s tasty. There are many choices of cereal oats, weet-bix, buds. I eat buds most. It’s yummy and tasty. My mum likes weet-bix and my dad likes to eat cereal with fruit.

Rice with egg and veges is  delicious. I eat rice most because its my favorite meal and rice is my country’s important meal.

I eat fruit for breakfast with cereal or mix apple, banana, orange and blueberry. When I drink fruit juice, it’s yum! Apple is my favorite fruit. When I eat fruit, I had vitamin and energy. Fruit is good for me and also everyone who eats it.

McDonald’s is delicious and yum but it isn’t good for me. I like to eat McDonald’s for breakfast but it’s not good and it’s not health food. So I’m not allowed to eat McDonald's for breakfast.


I like to eat rice for breakfast and sometimes I like to eat cereal. I will eat good healthy food for breakfast which is good for me.

Health + Me

Duffy Theatre

I  was excited  to see the Duffy theatre. There were three actors. When we all sat down they introduced themselves and we sang a song, the Duffy Song.
Then the Duffy theatre started.It was excited and fun.
My favorite part was when they were in Space and they were doing same as Space.  
I want to see Duffy Theatre again  before this year end.
